Drip Bags Coffee Brewing Guide

Drip bags are a convenient way to brew coffee without needing special equipment. The coffee is already ground and portioned into individual drip bags, making it ideal for travel or quick brewing.

What You Will Need

  • Required: Coffee in drip bags, Tall mug, Hot water
  • Optional: Scales

Preparation

Select a tall, narrow cup (minimum 250 ml). Open the drip bag and prepare it by tearing along the perforation line. Attach the drip bag using the cardboard holders on the edges and place it securely on your mug.

Coffee Dosage

Each drip bag contains 12 grams of ground coffee, perfectly portioned for a single cup.

Water Temperature

Heat your water to 90-93°C (boil and let it cool for about one minute). Water with mineralization of 100 mg/l is ideal.

Water Dosage

We recommend using 150-180ml of water, where at 150ml the coffee will be more concentrated and at 180ml like a V60 coffee. Pay attention to the water quantity to avoid over-extraction or a watery taste.

Pouring Water

Pour the water slowly into the center in 3-4 intervals, allowing each pour to drip through before adding more water. A regular teapot or thermos is sufficient for this method.

Total Brew Time

The total brewing time should be 2-2.5 minutes. Pre-wetting is optional, but if used, ensure the total brew time does not exceed two minutes. After the water has passed through, remove and discard the drip bag.
